The 2023 Grammy’s took place at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on February 5. The biggest wins of the night included Beyoncé breaking records as the most Grammy-awarded artist in history with 32 wins, and Harry Styles nabbing best album with *that* speech.
The red carpet left much to be desired, but there were several highlights that did not disappoint.

Cardi B gave us everything in her custom-made dress by Gaurav Gupta. The deep blue gave class and poise whilst channelling the sari of Ravi Varma’s Padmini and Bharatmata, also known as the mother of India. The sari is said to mimic the shape of India, which is shown in the high rise on the top half of the rapper’s outfit as she posed with her arms up.

Doja Cat stunned – as usual – in a sleek, black, dominatrix-esque get-up with a one-shoulder, cinched-in style and mermaid cut at the hem. The longline evening gloves made outfit number one that much more chic.

The musician never disappoints – she made sure her outfit number two was equally giving whilst sticking to the leather look, albeit in brown this time. The open holes on either side of the dress gave the look the sex appeal that Deja Cat never fails to bring (except when she opts for a ‘funny’ look). The snake print high-heeled boots also fitted seamlessly into the underskin of the musician’s dress. The messy-styled hair was the cherry on top.

Lizzo’s red carpet ‘fit and first look of the night raised the bar. The orange overcoat trailing with flowers, surrounding the signer’s head like a cherub, whilst adorning two major rocks on each hand. Lizzo matched her nails and makeup to the look, giving Mother Nature at the Grammy’s, with a beaded corset for accentuation, of course.

Tems has become the first Nigerian artist to win a Grammy – and look golden whilst doing so. She kept her sultry eye look and paired a golden lid with a gorgeous shaped dress with a corset up top and silky flow below. With beads in her hair and as her accessory, Tems being a true bad bitch, knew that a dark lip with gloss is always a winner.

Laverne Cox took to the carpet in an Egyptian-inspired Kim Kassas Couture look. From the black snake and alligator print dress with tribal emblems in brown on top to the golden, tribal neckpiece – Laverne came to make a statement. She knows what looks good as her makeup and hair were properly fitted to complement her outfit whilst keeping to the gold of the iconic Grammy award.

Jennifer Lopez was admittedly one of the best dressed at this year’s Grammy’s. She sticks to the classic long, trailing tail evening gown look and it works. Navy and silver are complimentary together and the leotard underneath is just another reminder of the artist’s closet on stage as a performer – akin to superstars Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Megan thee Stallion. The drop V neckline is particularly stunning too.
